This pike-block of Warlord Games 28mm plastic German landsknechts will always remind me of the Covid-19 pandemic, as they were my main project during our lockdown. I finished them today, just in the nick of time, as we are down to our last active case of the virus remaining in New Zealand (touch wood!).

I ued GW Contrast paints with Army Painter Quickshade. I have made absolutely no attempt myself at painting any shading or highlights on these figures – what you see here is how they turn out painted straight from the pot!

Very, very nice! I am glad New Zealand is getting past Covid. We in the US are not as disciplined and there are many deniers that make things worse!

Congrats on your painting. With your method you will soon have an army to play with instead of one or two figures. :)

Great looking pike block!

Nice indeed.

I'm particularly curious about the flesh. I have used contrast paints and have no problem with any except the flesh. They always come out patchy.

I've tried as many tips as I can source, but yours look perfect. Could I ask which flesh and if you use the medium etc?

Cheers
Jon

Great news about New Zealand and nice paint jobs too!

@Korusun: Spray undercoat of Citadel Wraithbone, followed about 24 hours later (when undercoat is perfectly dry) with a single coat of GW Gulliman Flesh. Nothing simpler!

Congrats on both unit and Corona-handling!

Thankyou; I do both those things, must be too heavy handed with the flesh, i'll experiment further!

Cheers
