Im not going to name names because in the main the people who contribute are decent wargaming souls and are in the same boat as me.

But what is very very obvious is that a fair percentage of postees? and members of these historical groups dont possess the inclination, wit or whatever to research the period they are collecting figures for…"

Another excellent post from Rob. And I do agree with his comment. Every gaming site, not just those on FB, has a similar situation. My usual example being something like "what size base should I use for XXXX" or "the best rules to use for XXX" without offering for consideration the posters figure size, scale of battle to be fought, gaming table size etc.

You always try to help but, oh but, it does get tiring.

I agree…I don't mind pointing people in the right direction but am appalled about the reluctance to do any basic research, particularly if it involves reading anything! And then there are those who won't buy the rules Or supplements and expect people to copy extracts for them….
