Folks:

If you are interested in trying out something different for 1848 games, you should see the app we just published at our site, Application of Force. It's a game where all the players are the leaders of bands of revolutionaries in the 1848 European disturbances, and the computer plays the government forces.

It isn't a traditional battle game, because unless you can convince some of the government forces to join the revolution, you tend to get squashed (in most of the countries that had revolutions in 1848, there really wasn't much of a chance in a fair fight!)

We've been running games set in the Grand Duchy of Baden, where the army mutinied and the revolution succeeded until the Prussians showed up. After that, not so much! ;-)

We are still giving away 1-month free memberships: use the code "Quarantine2020" when you sign up.

Cheers,

A. Gregory
