In looking at various Naseby maps I have a few questions…
1. Is the rough terrain(furze, gorze, marshy?) completely mask Cromwells frontage or only a portion?

2. Does this rough area run straight across and cover Langdales flank?
I've seen maps where this rough area completely blocks and covers the Royalist inf. left flank and maps where this area is to the right of Cromwells units.
In gaming the battle where this area goes can make a big difference on this flank and how fast Cromwell can turn the Royalist inf. flank.
Thoughts, opinions, suggestions?
Thank you for your time and help.

BTW, if anyone can recommend a good free Naseby map I would much appreciate your help.

Glenn Foard's Naseby book is brilliant has everything you need. I'd rate it as essential reading on the ECW.

There are excellent maps and fantastic detail on how the relatively narrow frontage forced the armies to deploy in the way they did.

If you can stretch to buying it I don't think you'd be disappointed.

Thank you Timmo, found a used copy at a decent price. Looking forward for a good read.

Glenn Foards book is excellent!! It is a great resource. Thanks for the recommendation….what a treasure trove of detail. My Naseby scenario will be so much more accurate.
