Why is it so difficult to purchase the starter sets for this game ? ….. they are very scarce and expensive when you do see one advertised ? I guess they are not made any more. |

One problem is it has changed names: Now called "Wings of Glory" The WW2 version is in sock: link link Info: link link I have not tried this, but I suspect you can use the "Wings of Glory: Tripods & Triplanes Starter Set" as a starer for WWI planes. link
Other wise, you will need to wait for an additional printing or buy a used set.

The rules are free: aresgames.eu/7090 So all you really need is to track down the damage decks (A & B are the most used), and purchase some planes, which come with maneuver cards. You could also look for the old boxed sets for Wings of War, which, not having planes, just cards and tokens, I would expect to be easier to get, and cheaper, too. |

I think you will find the the Wings of Glory WWI starter set is currently out of print. But it has been reprinted and will probably be reprinted again. Until such time you can buy the Wings of Glory WWI – Rules And Accessories Pack which contains all you need to play the game except the planes: link Then you can just add whatever planes you prefer. Two very useful resources are: The Wings of Ware Aerodrome: link And the FaceBook group: link Hope this helps. |

The duel packs come with rules, usually an 'A' damage deck, and 2 plane models with their manoeuvre decks. They are hard to get at the mo, with most retailers out of stock, but are a great way to get started. |
