Really nice! I would suggest a larger base for them, or they will be knocked about, often… Mine pull duty for 25's and 54's, as well. Not enough storage room for multiple scales of trees. Thanks for sharing your work! Cheers!

They might be really stable if there's a heavy weight built into those bases, and the branches are light.

Those look really nice. How were they scratchbuilt? They look just like plastic trees to me, but I suppose putty over armatures could look the same.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

They are the traditional wire armature frames.
I cover them with latex caulking.
Just work it around with a wet brush.

The canopy is the blue furnace filter teased out and glued on. Paint and glue on your favorite flock.

Brilliant use of materials! Furnace filters! What great ideas. To get your results with the caulk covered wire would take some practice. I may have to try it sometime.

The covering on the armatures looks AMAZING.

Looking at the pics I thought you had used some commercial plastic ones! :o
