This is a really odd question. I went to the original link, and the person asking it thought duels were "fantastic".
I cannot imagine why.

It could possibly come back, but the networks would want live coverage/pay-per-view, sponsorships, advertising rights, etc…

It is left as an exercise for the reader on the modern desirability.
