Hello. I'm originally from New Jersey. During the Bicentennial there was to me as an 8 year old a large reenactment army that marched General Washington's retreat route through New Jersey followed by the British. Does anyone who is from New Jersey remember that.

Are you perhaps thinking of the 1978 event at Monmouth battlefield state park? About 2,000 participants.

I don't remember that one, started a few years later. I have great memories of doing the March to Yorktown in '81. I remember getting a very warm welcome from the people of Millstone NJ.

I was one of the participants at Monmouth in '78.
