Even though we haven't secured our future digs yet, (dealing with Realtors is a pain), we have started the initial "going through stuff" and making a "Give to Goodwill" pile, and a "1-800-Got-Junk" pile, as well as stuff we are starting to pack to keep.
It's a pre-packing phase we are in.

So after doing the stupid thing and inventorying my figures, I packed them up, and well…started to cry looking at it all…
12 boxes of figures for 28's…
1 large box for 15's…
1 small box for 20mm…
1 box for all the "other stuff"…

These are just the unpainted figures and vehicles, etc…No painted ones, no buildings, no scenics, no terrain, nothing else.

I posted a photo of it and what I still have to pack up, on my blog, so you can see it and commiserate with me…
Here it is: link

Let me know what you think….

Sigh…

When my best gamer friend moved from a "hood" to a small town's suburbs several years ago, it took three or four trips with an SUV, a van, and two pickups to move all his painted and unpainted troops, terrain, buildings, ships, planes, etc., etc. So feel lucky that you don't have so much.

Good luck with your home purchase (my daughter and son-in-law are starting that process now) and your move.

Stay safe!

Where are you headed to, Murphy?

(And me just thinking about Bongolesia again…)

I know the feeling, my basement is a vast mess.

Wow. That is a lot of unpainted stuff.

Now that the kids are out of the house (and back, and out, and back, and out…) we are thinking of getting a smaller place. That is till I think of the work involved in getting rid of decades of "stuff".

After looking at all my completed and uncompleted kit I have issued a die in place order.

There is no way I'm moving all my stuff again.

Welcome back, Murph! Haven't seen you in a while, but then, I haven't been paying attention particularly.

Best wishes on packing. I look at my meager stock of figures and think I have too much!

My basement is an abyss of models, boxes, gaming areas and project tables. I have some models I haven't seen in several years, despite rather frequent searches.

Good luck with the move Murphy.
