Hi, my head mount magnifier is getting ready for the dust bin, does anyone have any recommendations for a new head mount magnifier.

They have inexpensive models at Ocean State Job Lot. I have no idea how well they last.

Pay some attention to the headband. Low quality ones tend to have uncomfortable cheap plastic bands with no padding

Have had the same optimizer for over 40 years. You can buy different new lenses separately which I finally did last month for my old eyes.

Optivisor #10 lenses for painting heraldry on shields, #7 for general painting and #5 for prepping, cutting and basing.

Consider 3x reading glasses. Much cheaper and easy to work with

Even if you go with an Optivisor, it's good to have a pair of reading glasses in your painting stuff for times when you go somewhere to paint, like a painting day with your gaming group.
