Well, I got an excellent selection of models through from Tumbling Dice. Sadly, having compared them to the plans and illustrations in Warner ( link ) I have precious few that are suitable for Salnave's War.

Not that I'm at all bothered; there are a fair few for the War of the Pacific and some will be commissioned into the fledgling Parazuelan Navy.

So another order to TD is in the pipeline, but I thought I'd make a start anyway.

TD don't have a suitable model for the Triumph (formerly the CSS Atlanta), so I decided to have a bash at scratch building one – in fairness, Salnave never got his ship either as she sank en route from the US.

Sorry about the photo quality, but it's a bloody small model!

I *think* I might be able to cobble together Le Terror (formerly the USS Pequot) using ASV15 Screw Corvette, but I need to do some drastic surgery to convert the model from a three-masted square rigger to a two mast brigantine (eek!).

When work stops getting in the way and I've received more goodies from TD I'll post an update, hopefully with some finished miniatures.

Nick
