When I was at Ft, Benning in the late '80s. When being assigned to the Bde Log Sec.[S4]. Our Bde Cdr had me get the funds from Training Aids on Main Post. To get our entire Mech Hvy Bde, a USSR MRR and Tank Rgt from GHQ. So we could "wargame" our Bde in battle with those USSR Forces. I even got a call or two from the GHQ owner to discuss the order. He was very pleased, obviously. The Bde Intel Sec[S2] mounted them in Plt strength on heavy card board. Painted us Green and the USSR in Brown. We had a pretty good time with these to learn our craft as a large combined arms unit. |
