Does anyone know of an available set of figures styled to look like those on the Bayeux Tapestry, preferably semi-flat, but round or flat would be of interest. Size-wise anything from 20-54mm would be OK. I am aware of a Russian made set of plastic Anglo-Saxon infantry in 54mm but don't know if there any Normans to go with them and whether hey are available. I intend using them for 'Battle Ravens'.

The old Garrison figures(true 25mm) appeared to me to be based on the Bayeux illustrations. I remember I followed the Tapestry colour scheme -right down to blue horses.

I believe Garrison are now OOP.

If you search in ebay:
"Tapestry of Bayeux the army of king harold" you will find some plastic flat figures. I think they are made in Russia. I hope this helps.

If you visit a site called "Billy Bones Workshop" he produces card figures to print out. His 1066 range have a real tapestry look to them. I believe they are also available through "Wargames Vault"
