So I bought this model for a set of WW2 aircaft rules back in 1984. The kit was not great and I was really busy so I put it aside. Now finally it is done and I have idea what rules we were planning on using! link

Nice looking kit, and well painted too!

My guess based on date and scale would have been Mustangs & Messerschmitt by Rocky Russo.

Heisler,
That sounds familiar, I just remember that it was pleasingly granular. Somewhere I also have a Polikarpov I-15 to go with this one.

Nice looking model. Good thing you don't have a squadron of them to do.

So, basically, after 6 years, you have "zero" done?

So … it's an A5M4, not an A6M0, but close enough for the joke?

Great sequence on the website, showing its construction. The gaps here and there, the primitive casting, it was mid 80s after all. The end result is superb. The end result is "something different" and to be proud of.

deadhead, actually I looked it up on the Scalemates website, it seems that this mold was first produced in the 1960's, so I guess that I should be more forgiving.

etotheipi, close enough ;) , now I just have to find a pilot figure that doesn't look like a mutated android
