I'm trying to find a figure of Augustus (on foot preferably) in 20 or 25mm – 28mm would be too big. I'm wanting it as a larger than life statue to go with a 15mm army. Does anybody make one? Cheers, John |

Strelets makes two boxes of Roman senators in 1/72. But each box has about forty! |

I can't recollect that there is an Augustus figure – plenty of JC, Trajan, Marcus Aurelius etc. You will probably need to use a senatorial figure as Legionarius suggests. Foundry link Warlord link Gorgon Studios link Matakishi's Teahouse link |

What I sort of had in mind was something like this link which I somewhat naively thought would be readily available somewhere. I also wonder (not knowing anything about this sort of thing) whether it would be possible to get a file of something like that and 3d print it at the right size. I'll check the sources people have recommended. Thanks very much for the assistance. It seems a lot of work for a whim but then that's the whole basis of our hobby eh! Cheers, John |

I can't find a size given for this figure (56mm at a guess?), but I am afraid that it is about as close as you are going to get for one based on the Augustus of Primaporta: auction |

Revell Praetorians has this guy, far right obviously;-)
You could do a head swap with a bare head if needed. There's even an auction for a partial set on ebay which includes the officer. auction |

I just want to thank everyone who has assisted me on this hunt to date. I've now found (as I accidentally cross posted to here from the 3d printing board on TMP) that the Augustus of Prima Porta is available as a free 3d download so I have done just that. Now I need to work out what the next step will be. I have no idea what scale it would default to. I will need to get it printed anyway as I don't have a 3d printer. I might have to talk to the experts . . . This may not prove to be an option anyway but it's worth the adventure I think :-) Cheers, John |
