"Though Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail will still be a part of Peacock's upcoming reimagining of Battlestar Galactica, he will not be the primary creative force. That job is going to Michael Lesslie. Lesslie—best known for his work on the AMC show The Little Drummer Girl and his script for (shudder) the Assassin's Creed movie—will create, write, and executive produce the show. "I am beyond excited to be taking on this iconic and inspirational show," Lesslie said to Deadline, which broke the news. "As a lifelong devotee, I know that the possibilities of Battlestar Galactica's world are infinite and that each iteration has raised the bar for epic and intelligent sci-fi storytelling. The teams at Esmail Corp, UCP, and Peacock are second to none, and I already know that we are going to honor Glen A. Larson and Ronald D Moore's landmark series and break new boundaries with our own vision. It's a dream come true—one I just can't wait to share with fans, new and old alike. So say we all."…" Main page link Amicalement Armand |

That's seems a little quick for another reboot, whatever happened to the idea of 'something new'! Robert |

What more can they do with this? Robots do a Pearl Harbor on their home worlds, a convoy of survivors flee across the galaxy, harassed by the evil robots. The humans find 'earth', story over. And they did it twice! Do they have to do it again? Do they go in the other direction? Do they just surrender? What sex is Starbuck? |

It wasn't just a Pearl Harbor. The cylons killed virtually all of the billions of humans on several planets, leaving only some 55,000 survivors. This time, when they find the virus that kills the cylons and can be uploaded via the resurrection ships, I hope they go on a rampage through their occupied home area. That will force the cylons into some difficult choices that will make for good drama: destroy the resurrection ships now? send them far away? what if the humans capture one? destroy infected cylon ships, or just isolate them? how to defend the cylon home areas? |

The reboot was just a soap opera with some sci-fi window dressing. I expect more of the same. |

I'll watch if it's about the Galactica in the first Cylon war, other than that it will probably stink. |

Yes, those Cylons are definitely doomed once Mr.Robot starts hacking them… ;-) |

A pity there are no creative people out there anymore that can come up with new ideas. I know how this one ends (or do I?). Not sure I care to watch a third series on the same show. The above said, I would love to see a series of movies, or a new TV series on the old TV show, UFO. We were "promised" a movie on that, and are still waiting, just like we are for "The Dambusters" movie too, more than a decade ago. |

A pity there are no creative people out there anymore that can come up with new ideas. Agreed. Television and movie studios almost always go with what's safe, that is, what is most likely going to be profitable, even if only marginally so. The bigger the budget, the more that seems to be true. It makes business sense, but it makes for truly mediocre content. I'm hoping that technology, such as streaming services and CGI, will let creative people be able to afford to take risks to produce good work. |

I'm awaiting the reboot of Star Trek: Picard any day now. |

The problem with the basic BSG storyline is that it has a strong start, but can't ever really go anywhere. |
