Mostly a yawn. I did notice that the author made a common mistake when he described the use of "hot air balloons." They were not hot air, they were filled with gas, usually hydrogen. Dangerous? Yes, the soldiers holding the ropes were paid twenty-five cents a day as a bonus for the risk. Amazingly, no balloon was ever shot down. |
