Evening all

We all have one, a 'spares' box, you know…. the place where the guys who are missing bayonets, and the guys that just don't fit into your army anywhere else all end up…

I decided to put mine to good use, and try to field 3 full battalions of Spanish infantry out of them

The first unit is available for viewing now on my blog, if you are interested in that kind of thing – I also need help / suggestions for the other two!

As always, comments and feedback welcome!

Good looking "spares" unit you have there. As far as your options on the "second" unit, I'd go with Option B.

Let us see them when complete.

Like the work. I too vote for option B.

Good work. I would vote for the mixed option as well.

I do this for Militia and Continental infantry for the AWI.

Works for Oirish Rebels for the '98 too.

I did a 28mm battalion of spare Spaniards like that. Fun! Good job ferg.

In 15mm I tend to have generic 18c militia units made up this way.

May I suggest another option? The 'army' of Marshal Millefleurs, which might need more national uniforms.
