I had a new experience this week: I somehow managed to superglue my wedding ring in place! I was gluing a figure to a base, and I have no idea how the glue did the capillary action thing! I was assembling a figure, and lost a shoulder pad – the glue failed to hold, the piece fell, and I saw it go straight into the garbage can! I went through the garbage, bit by bit, TWICE… can't find the lost part. Oh well. Was painting up a starship and tried out Coat d'Arms's Armor Wash. Very cool stuff. Got lots of stuff done. Best week of 2020 so far. Feels good. |

As a Superglue user all these years can sympathize |

I bet you only thought it went into the trash and it's somewhere else, or stuck to the side. Happens. The only time I glue my fingers with super glue is when I'm sealing a modelling knife cut – you came off lightly, IMHO. Got a 28 man battalion of Napoleonic highlanders done this week and started two battalions of Nassau – I too, am cooking with gas. Keep Safe, Bill. |

I decided to paint all the random miniatures on my desk. I finished thirty. |

You are all very productive! Though Bill's work was a bit of a mixed bag. 37 54mm figures is an impressive number. |

A very productive month, but that's down to being furloughed. Finished lots of loose ends [usually pushed aside by new more exciting things] As to losing dropped items, you should be aware of the existence of FLOOR PIXIES. Things that you drop, and which you are convinced landed "just right there" will mysteriously vanish. I keep a little torch handy, it helps to find that vital kit component that went pinging off the sprue, AND it scares the pixies. |

A piece of carpeting under your work space stops the tiny parts from bouncing away, I have a hideous bit of green shag carpeting that does a great job |

When I'm working with very small fiddly things, I usually put large plastic box lid on the table. Then when (not if) I drop something, it has a good chance of being stopped by the lip of the box lid before the pixies can get it. |
