Imagine that you've summoned the somewhat-recently slain to join your army of darkness. What color do you paint their flesh?

* flesh
* brown
* grey
* blue
* green
* black
etc.

I go with a green grey undercoat, wash with sepia, and drybrush/highlight with yellowed bone

Grey. Or shades of it.

In order from most recently to least recently dead:

Flesh with red
Flesh with Black
Grey – eyesockets instead of eyes start here
Khaki with white bone
Brown with khaki bone
Green with yellowed bone

Any undead could have protruding bone and missing limbs, but that gets more advanced as you slide down the chart.

Extra credit – purple for one set of "mind zommbies"

Bruise-purple, lighter to darker in tone depending on the skin shade in life.

I have not painted my undead yet. Likely I will go with a gray color, with The Dip -- Royal Walnut color, for that just dug up appearance. Cheers!

I mean, it's in the color…. wink

I have some Viking undead, draugr. I tried painting them blue/black (blar is the Viking word), because that's what the sagas call for. It didn't look good, so I repainted them in a dull, pale green.
