I am looking for a Japanese/Chinese palanquin for a scenario that I want to run. Anybody know a company that makes these in 28mm? Thanks

You probably know about Pulp Figures and Sinister Dr Koo

But that's more of a chair, I suppose you'd prefer the closed palanquin that's shown in the link?

AW Miniatures have these on their website:

Dixon make one:

Not easy to game from a palanquin, even as umpire.

There is also the palanquin that was a part of Museum Miniatures' range, although I forget which company had acquired that range from them.

Aha! AW Miniatures, who have a 30% off sale until the 25th:

And for a more rustic look, there's the Foundry's "Indian Doolie", although the bearers' turbans would need changing, if not swapping the bearers out entirely:

P.S.: The example image that your provided looks Korean.

Thanks for all the help.

I did forget about Pulp Figures, I have all the sets in that Chinese series except that, even the drum. That Dixon one looks heavy, the wooden pole looks heavier than the actual seat area. I did not know Dixon made a samurai range. I think I will go with the AW Miniatures one. I wanted more figures to carry it but I can just add some from the spares box.

The Dixon portable shrine is what I had in mind, but way too expensive :(

Skeptic, thanks for the doolie link, but as you suggest, too rustic. Yes the example is probably Korean, but I was just using it to illustrate a Palanquin.

Bobgnar, for all that I know, AW Miniatures may be willing to sell additional porters.

Not sure what you mean altfritz. My interest relates to a scene at the end of Lonewolf and Cub: Baby cart to Hades. Itto's Opponent tells a story of an attack on a palanquin He was guarding. Seems like a good scenario for a test of honor game.
