As I continue my 15mm foray into the Seven Years War in India (presumably out of some sort of masochistic attraction to obscure periods with few dedicated ranges), I was wondering if anyone could give me some very specific advice for figures? For French regulars in India, QRF/Freikorps makes a dedicated pack, and I like these figures. However, the pose is a little dull, so I was wondering if people had any further ideas for variety? Essentially, I'm looking for figures in turnbacks, but also with their coats undone – one or the other is easy to find, but both combined, despite being common in illustrations, seems very rare! Peter Pig has French for the AWI which meet these criteria, but I've been told that the coats in the AWI are very different to the SYW – do people reckon these figures would do? If the above wasn't obscure enough, both the British and French in India sometimes employed sailors as makeshift infantry. Do people have any recommendations for figures? QRF/Freikorps has an AWI naval landing party, and Peter Pig's pirates look like they would do, but advice on this topic would be very appreciated! |

Look at Irregular Miniatures. They have some odd good figures in their Renaissance Persian, etc., line including sepoy infantry for 18th century. Look around in the ranges and you will find some things. |

Look at Minifigs 15mm "Clive in India" range. Yes, even those sailors with the pom-pom in the middle of their round hats! |
