It can be from any line, but you have to give both the color and model number, mine is the Middlestone from the Model Colors line (70-882). It's a very versatile color that does just about anything. Another fave of mine is the VMC Russian Green (70-894) for much the same reasons!

Panzer Aces Old Wood #310, use it for spear shafts, backs of shields etc.

Vallejo MC Offwhite 70.820

When white is too bright and sky grey is too much!

A second vote for Middlestone 70882, as well as Russian Uniform Green 70924!

I've recently developed a fondness for Heavy Goldbrown 72.151. Using it as a base has solved most of my problems with painting yellow (the devil's own colour).

70.947 Dark Vermillion – it's the only red I own, need and therefore use.

70.884 Stone Grey is superbly useful. Mix in a little to any other colour and you get a more natural and less chemically bright looking hue.

I'm looking forward to trying out some of the new Model Air colours.

70.965 Prussian Blue. Use it for Napoleonics, ACW, and FPW. Have used multiple bottles of this color.

I've also heard some say 70.819 Iraqui (sp) Sand is darn useful as a replacement for white in making highlights, haven't tried it myself, but I am willing to give it a go?
