Or COVID19 restrictions project#3 I'm sure I'm not alone in having that very miscellaneous selection of miniatures that form's the lowest strata of the lead mountain or 'the bottom of the barrel'. Composed of the stragglers from projects past, taster packs, freebies, ill considered impulse purchases (internet or convention), and weird stowaways in bulk ebay purchases. I've looked to do something with mine a couple of times, which is obviously largely 15mm sci-fi, but I couldn't even scrape together a coherent squad. Then I recently re-read Consider Phlebas and I was inspired to try a free company with an eclectic mix of technological bases.
As you can see a seriously mixed bag. Ultimately I'm going to have to rely on the colour scheme to tie them together as something coherent. Had to replace a couple of lost heads, do something about miscast weapons, and add some equipment – most pilfered from 1:144 stowage. I also re-purposed a couple of 6mm vehicles into gun drones, hover and tracked and a tracked supply hauler.

Any way you can get motivated and find a purpose for random minis is good! |

What, you're at the bottom of the barrel ALREADY?! I won't even have to go out to the garage for more lead until July. The stuff already in the house is still good for May and June. But yes, uniform basing and a common color scheme do a lot to tie a force together. |

In the name of full disclosure I'm not actually at the bottom of lead mountain literally I just decided to bypass the Koflickt 47 starter boxes, GW Necrons, GW Eldar (but destined for a 15mm not-Exodites/Eldar Knights project), 15mm fantasy/medieval, 15mm PSC Cold War soviets, 2mm ECW, 2/3mm sci-fi and mini-mechs, BattleTech commission, 1:144th WWII odds and sods, on-going scratch built spaceships and sundry side projects. AND re-paint all the second hand Dark ages through to medieval armies I picked up off ebay a couple of years back. |

I haven't even gotten to the barrel yet. It's still buried under the rest of the lead mountain. Good work. |

Got some paint on them. The scheme is okay though I can't shake the feeling they've ended up a bit paramilitary. Tried taking a few shots of smaller groups to see if that improves my photography – may be not…. Mix of armoured troops and lightly armoured axillaries with a gun crawler
LRPG with supply drone.
Support weapons
Armoured trooper with his AG on and a couple of gun drones
