Latest cavalry to come off the painting table are Hopton's RoH. Think I'm done painting harquebusiers for a good while now. More pictures, regimental history, and a little bit about the friendship between Hopton and William Waller. link

Great stuff K,

Just a minor point on the blog post, Elizabeth was Charles I s sister, not King James's. Hopton started off as a single troop but exactly when it expanded to a full regiment isn't clear to me, probably after storming Bristol?

Timbo – d'oh! Absolutely. School boy error! Thinking one thing and writing another. Somehow managed to mash James I's daughter, and Charles I's sister into completely the wrong thing.

Amended. Thanks
