Anybody want some? We've got about 2 dozen looking for a new home – free, just cover the postage – UK based.

I might be interested. What is scale? 20mm or 28mm? What nationality? Can you tell me a bit more about the figures?

uglyfatbloke19 Apr 2020 5:16 a.m. PST

28mm, US for Vietnam, painted to a table top standard.

If these are the figures I'm thinking of (Based on the movie Platoon) they are huge. Totally incomparable with other 28mm ranges like TAG, Baker Company, and West Wind.

Just so. They don't fit in with the rest of SWMBOs force at all and she'd be happy to see them go to where they'll get used rather than just take up space in a case.

Sorry – you were pipped at the post.

No apology necessary. Just want to make sure that whoever got them knew what they were getting. The figures are nice and full of character, but just to large to work with other 28mm.

Hopefully, they can find a good home with Steve.

I am going to pass because as I recall, and as confirmed, Chilterns won't fit with what I need, plus I would like unpainted.

Thank you for responding though!

I think it is just great when someone offers a freebie like this.

SWMBO will surely be content and that is all we can ask

It's very nice of you to offer, and I hope that they go to a good home!

Oh, no, now I'm thinking of our miniatures like puppies.

uglyfatbloke19 Apr 2020 3:19 p.m. PST

Miniatures are better than puppies. SWMBO is content; neither of us is keen on having stuff we can' t use – especially since we have moved to a house with a smaller wargame room…though I understand that many people would use said room as a 'lounge'. SWMBO also has a platoon of 30 plastic US for Vietnam; they were built from various figure kits by Don at Alba Studio and they are therefore unique and quite lovely, but they are on those elevated GW-style bases and just do n't look right beside the rest of her stuff….they can be seen on various Facebook pages – Bolt Action Vietnam, 28mm Vietnam etc and I will put them on the SPIT wargames page later or tomorrow but they are not free…..£100 incl UK postage is a great price though.

uglyfatbloke20 Apr 2020 3:25 a.m. PST

SWMBO has decided to rebase the plastics to fit in with the rest of her stuff. Apparently the phrase 'but you've already got masses more than you can ever use' means nothing to her.

Steve, did you end up buying these?
