Thanks for posting LG. I'm all for any modifications that make the rules better. Apparently, Lonely Gamer felt that, for his needs, modification were in order. Some people like MajorB feel that modifications are not needed. Especially for solo play. The great thing about solo play, you can do what ever you want. |

Perhaps I should clarify. I have been wargaming for over 40 years. Most of my wargaming is solo and I have never found the need for specific solo modifications to any set of rules. |

Apparently, Lonely Gamer felt that, for his needs, modification were in order. I could not find any reference to solo modifications in either of the two battle reports on his blog. |

@StoneMtnMinis thanks it was a fun game.
As for playing the rules solo ( I did answer your post on my site ) the activation method in the rules makes solo play very easy, but there are not any specific rules for solo play in my rules you just have to play both sides. @MajorB yep like you I have been playing solo for many years as well and not really found much need for actual solo rules. @Todd636 I agree being able to do what you like is part of the fun of solo gaming. |

@LG, OK, I must have missed that when I "quickly" read your post. I will go back and re-read it more carefully. @MB, There may be quite a few gamers on TMP that have never played miniature games "solo" and it was for them that I was posting the question. If you have never done a solo game it can be a little bit confusing, as I discovered many years ago when I was unable to attend club meetings and found there were only Magic players in my area, So, I think that the current lock-down provides solo gamers the opportunity to add to their ranks by posting helpful information about how they go about handling and running a game. Think of it as an opportunity to recruit. |

I find that I win more games while playing solo… Although I do lose as well ;O) |
