Good Day Everyone,
---
Perhaps you could use a diversion. Briefly captioned photos at night tell the story. So….
---
General Pettygree's short story BRACE UP! continues with Chapter 2 --- Pursued Into Darkness here.

The title hints at the dramatic action about to take place in the moonlight on Desperatu Island.
I hope you enjoy it.

Respectfully,

PS
The concluding chapter is already in early production.

Your interest and consideration are sincerely appreciated. And….
---
The scenario and flow of the story are suitable for time periods other than a Pacific island in WWII. A little adaptation is all that would be needed.

Reason: Brace Up! is an uncomplicated raid followed by pursuit and completed by a dramatic battle decisively deciding the fate of the pursued and pursuers; the climax.

The Horse and Musket Era easily comes to mind. Historical examples would be Rogers Ranger's raid on St. Francis, the Seven Years' War Austrian raid on Berlin and a naval descent ashore a la Jack Aubrey or Hornblower. Otherwise a Viking raid into Yorkshire, partisans in WWII, Stuart's American Civil War ride around the Union Army in the eastern American Civil War can be adapted. You can imagineer the scenario into your favorite time period easily enough whatever it may be.

Gratefully yours,
Bill P.

PS
BRACE UP! will conclude with Chapter 3 Back To The Bridge in a few weeks.
