"La independencia de Colombia se inició el 20 de julio de 1810, gracias a un incidente con un florero en la ciudad de Santafé de Bogotá. Luis de Rubio, un criollo, se acercó a la casa del español José González Llorente para pedirle prestado un florero. Ante la negativa del español, Francisco José de Caldas y Antonio Morales alertaron al pueblo de la afrenta de Llorente. Desencadenando esto en la firma del Acta de Independencia de Santafé, donde se establecía un gobierno provisional que más tarde sentaría las bases para la entrada de la legión liderada por Simón Bolívar…"
