Finding something old but serviceable (in this case, a 30 year old set of naval combat rules that cost me three bucks) brings me great joy. Using Fire When Ready (1982, Metagaming) to restage the Battle of Yalu (1894) solitaire of course. Great time!

Thanks for the report. It's a fascinating battle. I have the ships in my painting queue. I may try to find myself a set of those rules.

Very interesting refight! The Chinese had some good boats and if their ammunition, crews and officers were equal to the Japanese it could have been a different result in history.

I love the pre-dreadnought era for naval wargaming, I have some painted fleets and many unpainted fleets! Thanks for your post.
