I only bought one set of British colours from him, but now he is gone. Where can we buy 28mm colours for the British, with "finials & Cords?" As an aside, does anyone make cloth colours that can be bunched against the side of the colour officer? I'd like to do one unit "in trouble." GdeP |

I saw him at Cold Wars and spoke to bbn him about flags. He said he was coming off a hiatus and trying to ramp up again. What do mean he is gone? |

I understood that he was no longer making the colours, Gone from production. I look forward to buying again! GdeP |

I spoke to Rick recently and he is definitely coming back even though his website says he has finished. He is starting to get things back on track but asked me to wait until the website was updated before sending in my order. |

I just receive a big order from him that I placed at Cold Wars and yes he did said that he was going to redo his website and take orders again. How soon do not know. |

This is the best news I had read :-) |

Just for interest, how do his Napoleonic flags compare with those from GMB ? I've always used the latter, and have found the quality and service to be first class. |

Tassie, in my opinion, having both, they are both great, but noticeably different in style. Tom |

I have not seen any GMB's, but the Flag Dude assembles both colors in a "dramatic" fashion, full-flowing. The finials are attached, fully painted, but the staffs are too thin. I like to cut my staffs to total about 9 feet vs the colours at 6 ft on the staff, 6 ft 6 inches on the fly. I am working on 28mm, the 3/27th Foot, Inniskillings, first rank kneeling on guard, second rank standing on guard, by Victrix, using Victrix paper flags. Has the castle in the center of each colour, but these colours are for the 1/27th, dead in square at Waterloo. I do NOT know how to designate the colour as for the third battalion. This is one I'd like to do in cloth so it could be draped and held in the arm or hand of the colour officers. GdeP |
