Woke up this morning,
Put on my slippers.
Walked in the kitchen,
And died.

Rest In Peace, John. You were one of the greatest singer songwriters of our generation. You will be sorely missed.

Thatīs really sad news, he was a very special songwriter and I love his duets with Emmylou.

RIP John

Sad news indeed. RIP, John. I saw him perform at Mississippi State University in 1972 and his music left a lasting impression on me. Just John & his guitar – can't get any more simple than that.

If you want to know who John Prine was, why don't you look him up for yourself.

It makes me sad enough to consider getting an illegal smile.

Oh, right, I live in California, so it's not illegal. It's actually an essential business.

Sorry I had the wrong year I saw him at MSU. Time in the 70s is a bit foggy for me.
It was still a great show and he will be missed.

I said 1972 above, but I am not totally sure about that. I was at MSU from 1971-1975, so it was within that time period. He played just outside the Union Building.

You know what they say: "If you can remember the seventies, you weren't there, man."

He wrote a song or two that reminded me of me when I really needed to be reminded.

RIP
