Folks: We weren't sure it would work out, but it did: we played a "normal" 25mm Napoleonic skirmish game this afternoon over Skype, using devices, a laptop, and a security camera. You can read about it here, and see what the visual quality was like: link We didn't get fancy, but at least we got in a game! And it had pretty much the same kind of social aspect as a real one.
