I've been working on painting up some armies (Fallschirmjager, Gerbirgsjager; opposed by British, Kiwis and some Aussies) and making the terrain for a "Battle for Crete" game of Iron Cross. Due to the enforced isolation, progress has been rapid! I've posted up some progress shots on my blog over at: link
The thing I worked on this weekend was making some olive trees, which appear in several of the photos in this post. I will write up a how-to guide now that I've figured out the best way of making them. Hope you enjoy! ;-) |

Fantastic stuff indeed and the glider is lovely. Not sure about the anti tank if it's a 6pdr? They appeared I believe in 1942. Keep up the good work. Best wishes, Chris |

Twice I have stayed at the hotel at the end of the old runway. Neither wife knew why I had chosen this God forsaken spot at Maleme, but I walked that hill many times and thought about decades earlier. It is more built up now but still…. These glider guys are lucky. They came down in one piece. I often think of those hanging from silk, seeing a bunch of Kiwis with fixed bayonets to greet them (who had no choice but to kill them outright). |

@deadhead – lol I'm little more brazen with the missus: "We're going to drive up this dirt track so that I can take some photos of those stone walls that I saw on the other side of the valley, so that I can model them when we get home"! She just rolls her eyes. P.S. I wrote up the how-to on how I created the olive trees for anyone who is interested. TMP link |
