Aside from the fact that these are very well painted, does anyone know where to get the rearing horse flag finials? link |

Not sure where to get the finials but on the example I saw in Les Invalides in Paris the horse is leaping forwards rather than backwards towards the flag. |

Maybe someone makes separate 3mm or 6mm horses that could be positioned on top. Now that we are in the age of the 3D printer my guess is someone makes something scalable that could be printed out and adapted. |

Stonewall figures produce a Neapolitan standard bearer in packs of four. Not sure if they are genuine 15mm or these insidious 18mm pretenders… |

It would be fun to try and make one for 15mm figs. LOL |

As an aside, did the Neapolitan infantry ever wear the long-tailed coat? I thought they were all short, as for the standard leger uniform coat in the French Army/ GdeP |

The Osprey book shows them wearing long tailed coats on Plate C. In fact I'm painting the 8th Regt right now for a customer. Cheers Dean |

Jose Maria Bueno depicts the contingent that went to the Peninsular War in long tailed costs. |

It seems that the artist used a horse icon from an ancients standard bearer. I dont suppose anyone recognizes its origin? I'll post this in the ancients section as well. TMP link
