…another humiliating thrashing from the twelve year old.

I really should know better than to try it twice in a row.

Apologies for the poor photos…the camera was a bit wobbly (not unlike my upper lip)

Think of it this way, your daughter has learned the art of wargaming from you. You are a great teacher. Hope that takes the sting out of it a bit. When my daughter was 7 she would beat the snot out of everybody when it came to gaming AWI, so I know how you feel.

I hadn't thought of that…I'm not sure she'd agree though?

One more rematch…next time it's Taiwanese ROCAF Starfighters vs PLAAF J-7's… I might even not lose?

Nice work with the missile, though.

Pretty cool, Jim, and the photos looked fine to me.

She's had the youngster luck to this point, but the true test is coming: at some point in the near future you're going to be in a position to win, and it will all be down to a decision: do you do the commonsense, sure-thing, plain as day, lock to beat her move, or do you do the rationalized-father move that well, maybe my pilot would choose to do this instead of that and, oh no, I failed the test, she wins again'?

Me? I show no mercy!!! ;)

V/R,
Jack

Good to see you are getting to game with her regularly, and she likes it.

Eventually, through sheer luck, and/or skill, you're bound to win one eventually. The odds are on your side on that.

In the meantime, just enjoy spending time with your daughter. I suspect the memories you're making will last a lifetime, especially the first few wins by her over your forces.

;-)
