…another humiliating thrashing from the twelve year old. I really should know better than to try it twice in a row. :O( link |

Apologies for the poor photos…the camera was a bit wobbly (not unlike my upper lip) |

Think of it this way, your daughter has learned the art of wargaming from you. You are a great teacher. Hope that takes the sting out of it a bit. When my daughter was 7 she would beat the snot out of everybody when it came to gaming AWI, so I know how you feel. |

I hadn't thought of that…I'm not sure she'd agree though? One more rematch…next time it's Taiwanese ROCAF Starfighters vs PLAAF J-7's… I might even not lose? |

Nice work with the missile, though. |

Pretty cool, Jim, and the photos looked fine to me. She's had the youngster luck to this point, but the true test is coming: at some point in the near future you're going to be in a position to win, and it will all be down to a decision: do you do the commonsense, sure-thing, plain as day, lock to beat her move, or do you do the rationalized-father move that well, maybe my pilot would choose to do this instead of that and, oh no, I failed the test, she wins again'? Me? I show no mercy!!! ;) V/R, Jack |

Good to see you are getting to game with her regularly, and she likes it. Eventually, through sheer luck, and/or skill, you're bound to win one eventually. The odds are on your side on that. In the meantime, just enjoy spending time with your daughter. I suspect the memories you're making will last a lifetime, especially the first few wins by her over your forces. ;-) |
