thumbs up Yeah the 6pdr should have the advantage …

Yeah given the 6pdr apparently in the right circumstances can go through a Panzer III and then take out another Panzer III behind the first one, the stug is dead meat if the 6pdr hits it.

Inspiring. I'm going to have to do some of this kind of photography during our shelter-in-place.

unless he has some infantry support, an 81mm mortar to call in, pops some smoke, or rolls off to the flank bypassing the ATG entirely.

Sometimes Ambushes work … sometimes not … But as usual whoever gets the first effective shot will probably win.

The trick with background photography is to blend in the subject matter with the scenery.

If the terrain flows seamlessly then the results can be spectacular.

To trick the eye so that the brain thinks it's real, knowing that it is not is modelling nivarna.

Totally agree and also keep it simple, as here. I still am trying to learn that. Overkill, either in the packing in of a lot of figures, or, worse, an overcomplicated background spoils it. This is well done indeed.

@gunfreak

Where did you get the backdrop from? It makes the models really stand out.

My backdrops are from here.

The vast majority of the photos aren't useable. But I do find some now and then.
More are useful for WW2 then older periods, I can't tell you how many photos I found there that looked promising only to find a barbwire fence when I look closer.

What a brilliant resource. A Godsend to me, something I somehow completely missed. Thanks

Hi,

Try railway modelling backgrounds. They are far more practical and larger.
