"There are those of us out there who simply cannot put down stuff to do with the Spanish Civil War. I am one of those people. For me the SCW represents the last European conflict with really flamboyant uniforms. A conflict that was not quite WW1 (if only because the Spanish proved themselves woefully resistant to digging proper trenches!) and yet not quite WW2 either. A conflict waged with colonial warfare savagery by the nationalists and by jingoist communist propaganda by the republicans. A war where mild steel was bolted together over cars and called tanks (well, actually they were called Sooty's [Tiznao's] but you get what I mean) and where the division between socialist ideology and fascist ideology is almost like holding up a mirror to the politics of today…"

I wonder why (given his statement that there are so few suppliers out there) he went for 15mm? Plenty in 20! |

Yes its a shame. Id love to see his sketches made into 20mm, they're pretty great and he's right theres not much out there for dynamiteros. Thanks for sharing! |

Hey guys, These are mine from my blog. Thanks Armand for sharing. I used to game in 20mm a lot and still have quite big WW2 collections in this scale BUT I found that firstly it took up a LOT of what space I had and secondly I never seemed to get enough finished whilst with 15mm I found I could knock out large armies of well painted minis in relatively acceptable timeframes. Im a dedicated 15mm gamer now so I spend a lot of my time converting. My 15mm Slovak army is entirely converted with barely a single unconverted or home sculpted and cast element in the entire army.I expect my SCW stuff will be similar… |

Awesome, keep us posted on those! Id love to see the finished product, the drawings are great. As i said above, if they were 20mm id have to add some to my columns! |
