I am looking for both 15mm and 28mm Spanish Lancers (for Battle of Tangiers). They wore a plumed hat with a feather (similar to ECW Royalist cavalry). Does anyone know of a company that makes such lancers? What about ECW Royalist cavalry with an open hand to which I could attach a lance? So far, the the only standard bearers I've found in a plumed hat have a flag attached. I'd like to find one that only has the pole without a flag attached. TIA. |

Hi Robert, The notion of ECW Royalist cavalry wearing big hats with even bigger feathers has been dispelled as a general rule so you may struggle to find what you want. Certainly from newer ranges, Minifigs 15mm range might provide you with something suitable to convert from (their 25mm range too?) 15mm – apart from possibly the Minifigs range you'll struggle. Another route might be Scots lancers (unless they have a big tartan shawl/sash) with a headswap, then add feathers with greenstuff (the only separate heads for headswapping at 15mm I can think of are Peter Pig and none have feathers). 28mm I know less about, but I imagine that the Warlord plastics might be a good starting point. Also consider Scots lancers with headswaps. I would imagine that you still might struggle with ostentatious feathers though, so greenstuff might well be needed here too |

For feathers for the hats some of the old Games Workshop Empire figures came with a bunch of extra feathers – if you know people with a well stocked bits box they may have some |
