Come join the Royal Navy, think we've had a little base there since the last joint exercise with the Omanis a couple of years ago. Just a shame it's in the middle of bloody nowhere with a loooong drive to Muscat and the bars! (For when they reopen anyway) |

Perhaps we should just build some mobile, man-made islands, and deploy those where and when needed, e.g. in the Gulf Region, In the South China Sea (if the Chinese can make spurious claims and build islands there, then we should be permitted to do so as well), near Taiwan and/or Hong Kong, etc., etc.. Not as crazy as it sounds, given modern tech, apparently, since they can even be used to create floating airports too. |

You could build them out of waste plastic. Build some sort of robot plastics collection machine and clean up while you build. |
