Like many of us in the hobby who are confined to home due to the pandemic, I started painting some miniatures this week. You know…the ones that have been sitting on the lead mountain for longer than you care to remember?

I've finished off a reinforced platoon of Fallschirmjager recently and have now started on some lovely Gebirgsjager models from Gorgon Studios this week.

I've posted some pics, a list of the paints used and a very short description of how I painted them. Usual health warning applies: there are far better painters out there than I.

… in US Space Force

"The U.S. Space Force is just 75 days old, but it has already narrowed down a tight list of 16 military job specialties that it will own, the director of Space Force Planning said Tuesday.

Maj. Gen. Clinton Crosier said Space Force now has built a staff of about 110 in its headquarters element, of about 200 that it needs. Space Force will build to a strength of roughly 15,000, he said, working to stay focused by avoiding duplication of infrastructure and support functions already provided by other services…"

What has happened to the German Mountain troop post that was the title for this? I have twice tried to comment to encourage parttimegamer but twice it has disappeared. The link is well worth following for his painting and esp shading tips

Thanks for the encouragement, deadhead. I could do with some photography tips, I think. ;-)

Some sort of bug in the forum database, no doubt. At least you found about some space force news too!

I'll post up some more images soon – I've been busy making some olive trees and cracking on with the Gebirgsjager.

I've done a bit more work since the last post and also started work on making some olive trees.

Only a quick blog post tonight, but I'll add a step-by-step guide on how I made the trees within the next week or two.

Photo is fine, seriously. Daylight and not a flash (which destroys detail on models). Well focused. I might have cropped the image to portrait rather than landscape, but we see the figure perfectly and the pics on your website are great. Good depth of focus and that is everything…and not easily acchieved
