After a disaster involving solvent based paints, link I gathered my resolve and returned to the Afghan Village project. In a few short days I managed to recoup most of my lost ground and hope to be done by Easter. link

No photos of the disaster? So much more fun than watching things go right, even if it's not as educational. |

Could you name this solvent based automotive finish that is very flat and extremely hard-wearing; unfortunately it is also a lacquer-based paint and contains an extremely high amount of powerful solvent As we would be able to use your new knowledge we could both avoid this problem and gain a good flat for metal miniatures |

@robert piepenbrink I didn't have my camera with me at the time, suffice it to say that the whole thing was flung over the back fence into the field behind my house and somehow caught fire. I would have gotten my camera and recorded the event for posterity but the Fire Marshall (who had appeared with reassuring speed) probably would have found that rather of cheeky, I narrowly avoided a ticket for Uncontrolled Burning (I knew that all those years working with the Smoke Eaters on the Christmas toy drive would eventually pay off!) @dragon6 Follow the first link in the post (or that one) but here is a photo of the offending product (I guess that label that says "extremely flammable" should have been another warning!)
