I've been working on my Darkest Africa project for same time now and finally managed to get some minis on the table top for some action.

I used "The Men Who Would be Kings" rules using the programmed natives rules to play the game solo.

For those interested here is my AAR on my blog

Have been enjoying this on LA, but thanks for posting the links to it here too – this deserves as much coverage as it can get.

Fabulous Boys Own adventure read. Shows the Solo Rules in a good light!

+1 on the beautiful table and miniatures. The solo rules look interesting.

Very nice, but the flags upside down.

Thanks guys.

Dicymick@ That's the sign for distress if dying of thirst surrounded by angry natives isn't distressing then I don't know what is :)

Someone always points it out every time I post up a picture of that miniature. Truth is I screwed up. It was a late night painting session and I was rushing to get the mini finished. I did a decent job on the miniature and now I'm worried about ruining him if I try to correct the mistake.

Jon, for the sake of a drink "and country" ;) –

- try hanging the fig with the flag immersed in a glass of water overnight, and you should be able to rub the paper away from the staff.

PRotP it's just a pet hate of mine. No offence intended. Leave it as it is it's a talking point. I do love the great job you've done with the miniatures and scenery.

FlyXwire@ hadn't thought of that might be worth a try.

Dicymick@ No offence taken mate

Excellent! Who cares if the flag is upside down.

I like the hippos in a mud puddle.

What an excellent AAR and a beautiful table! I love the narrative you came up with to match the action and game turns. Seems like it was big fun. I venture to say there will be much more solo gaming going on these coming days….. Bravo
Cheers,
Sgt G
