I bought it, maybe doing it right or not sure. Strange but very aesthetic and seems right to the point. Did anyone try?

Our group of six players has played it several times and everyone loves the rules. Beware that the rules have a number of ambiguities and changes/ additions that you will find in the files section of their FB page and in answers to questions posed by people on the FB page. These make the game better and more understandable. I highly recommend them.

Sorry, I misread the title of your query! I have the Soldier King"s rules but have not played them. The basic mechanics are the same as the Sun King, but the details have a lot of new stuff. The scale is a brigade, not battalion, so you have to keep that in mind.
