This model was entered in the Mad City Modelers show in Madison, WI. Not sure what scale (maybe 1/96?) or even who makes this kit as there was no information listed on the entry form. Nice-looking vessel though!

Flagship models makes one in 1/192. There's another company that makes it in 1/96, but that one has a cutaway casement. My guess is that this is the Flaghip model… the modeler did a really nice job on this one.

The Cottage Industy Albemarle is 1/96 scale. It is resin. It is cutaway only if you choose to make it so, otherwise it is a full hull model. I do not have the Albemarle, but I am working on the Palmetto State and it is an excellent model. I also have the Keokuk waiting in the wings.

A wonderful model beautifully presented. Be careful with the Richmond class ironclads, some people will have you believe that they looked the same when in fact each one was subtly different. I doesn't matter when the scale is 1/1200 but it will look bad on a model this size .

Agreed. I've studied both. I like the Palmetto State for its Robin Egg Blue paint – it was painted so in honor of the Ladies of Charleston who sponsored it.
