Are there any 28mm-30mm Capt. America figures to be had? Would the Heroclix figures work? or are they too large? |

I used a Heroclix,it was a bit slim but fit in OK with my Warlord plastics IMHO |

Look around for different Caps from Heroclix. There is some variation in the size and proportions across all their lines. The ones based on the films tend to be a bit smaller and more realistically proportioned. I like the more heroically proportioned figures, but they might stand a head taller than a 28mm historical fig. Which is fine if we're talking about Cap. Alternately, Sally 4th has a pack of "not Cap" and the Howling Commandos. The sculpts fit very well with your Artizan/Crusader size minis. |

Hard to find, but the OOP 28mm Cap'n and Bucky from "What The ?!? Miniatures" are really nice.

The HeroClix Cap that I repainted is roughly 39mm from the bottom of his feet to the top of his helmet.

Most of the Heroclix figures are significantly larger than even the ‘heroic' wimp sculpts. |

There are a bunch of different Captain America sculpts from Heroclix. Some work well with the heroic scale minis. I am not a size lawyer though since people are different heights and sizes. |
