What is the biggest, the meanest and the most awesome super heavy tank you have seen and/or painted in 6mm? I have some photos, just to start the subject:
and a review for these miniatures for those of you who are interested link |

Thanks! A simple design, but seems to be massive and I like the way the tracks are arranged |

seems to be massive If I remember right it was about 3.5" long, which dwarfed the rest of the Btech tanks. |

GREAT Comparison pics !!! |

@jfleisher I enjoyed reading your story with Ogre. And what a nice and huge collection you have! I wanted also to buy some ogre miniatures, especially for the big ogre tanks, but they are more out of stock than available. @Virtualscratchbuilder on Iron Wind's site it's another Demolisher, I could not find the one you showed. I only have one BattleTech vehicle, Parisan Heavy Tank (from Ral Partha), but like many other vehicles they have, the design is a little bit rusty. 3.5" is indeed huuuge. The Marksman Tank Destroyer, the longest tank from those showed, is only 2.5"… @Legion 4 Thank you! |

Technically they're called landships, but by any other standard they're really a super heavy hover tank. The landships of Terra Nova in Heavy Gear.

Thanks! I know very few things about Heavy Gear, I will do a check, but the game is more close to 12mm; some of their miniatures can be used for 6mm |

The Command Horizon oneswere really mobile fortresses. link |

jfleisher beat me to it! Not sure if the metal ones where slightly larger than the plastic ones… The only ones that came close to this are the 2mm Germy Micro Mini Cybertank set – you could add lots of modules together in a long long train link (The token is required in the link – its not an affiliate link) |

@Virtualscratchbuilder on Iron Wind's site it's another Demolisher, I could not find the one you showed. It does not show up in the regular listings of their online store, but if you search "demolisher" on their site it comes up with Demolisher and "Big Demolisher", the latter of which is what I refer to. They want like $27.50 USD for it. |

Iron Winds Battletech original Demolisher: So that is what I have but mine is marked Ral Partha on the bottom. Still dwarfed by an OGRE V. I have a couple other tanks from Ral Partha from back in the day. Anyone have a link which may show what they are? They were bought to represent other OGREs but I assume they were sold for Battletech. I also have a couple unknowns which were almost as large as the Mk.V. They must be from the same company as the details are similar to each other, but not any manufacturer above, and also not from Superior which I have a few again used for OGRE and I have the old advertisement showing the rest. It is possible they were sold as 15mm sci fi tanks as they have single big (for 6mm) tracks per side. |

I think whoever posts a micro armour Ratte P1000 will win. Twin 11" guns in a single turret will be hard to beat. Then again the surface to orbit but firing bugs from the first Starship Trooper movie, if not biggest, must surely be the "meanest" and most effective artillery! |
| Valderian | 14 Mar 2020 1:52 p.m. PST |
@Extra Crispy Too bad they are not available now, and in fact the whole Command Horizon range is close to being oos at either Wargames Emporium or EMP Games @darthfozzywig thanks! @Virtualscratchbuilder thanks, I found it! but, wow! what a cost, like for a 28mm tank.. @stephen m the site of Ral Partha where you may find those miniatures is link as for the P1000 |

So that is what I have but mine is marked Ral Partha on the bottom Ral Partha sold their company in 1998 and it changed hands a couple times, First to FASA, then to Wizkids, with Iron Winds eventually picking up a lot of their stuff, including Btech. |

I've been thinking about getting 6mm Ratte on Shapeways … [URL=https://s48.photobucket.com/user/Legion4/media/TAC_CMD_WIP/710x528_2734530_101085_1459312025.jpg_zpsaek0gxm4.png.html]

14 wheels for each track for Ratte I haven't seen anything like this Is good to discover the Bad Boy – Mobile Command Center – and it is even bigger than I thought from the Microworld's site, thanks to your great image! |

I did a search for 6mm or 1/285 P1000 rattes and frankly was disappointed by the detail of what I saw available. I know a lot can be done as I have some 6mm NOT Miyazaki items circa Nausicaa and the amount and fidelity of the detail is astounding. I know it is fantasy but there are a lot of plastic models done of it from which details can be stolen so no excuses about either "nothing available" or it was just a "smooth block". |

There are a number of options for the RATTE on Shapeways … link This would be my choice if for nothing else but price – link

Another mini I have, not assembled yet definitely dwarfs anything else out there. In fact it can swallow most; link |
| Valderian | 20 Mar 2020 3:35 a.m. PST |
Huge indeed, swallow best word to describe it , but it is just a hover craft, not a super heavy tank |
| stephen m | 20 Mar 2020 12:35 p.m. PST |
Yes, and somewhere I read it is rather a fragile target. |
