I had the pleasure of running a counter-factual Battle of Mobile Bay with a grand bunch of fellows at Battlefields on the 7th of March. An account of the battle can be found here; link

Very cool battle and excellent photo essay. Where did you get the forts from?

Anton Ryzbak12 Mar 2020 7:54 p.m. PST

The forts are from the Castillo de San Marcos souvenir shop, eight dollars each, I have some spares if you would like one.

Hey Anton,

I would be interested in one of the forts.

Drop me a line to work out product swap or payment.

Looks great!

Anton, do you still have any spares of the Castillo de San Marcos fort pictured? I would be interested in buying one from you but am not certain how to contact other members directly through this forum, if that is even possible.

Also, did you modify the original? The only other picture I could find resembling the one you used in your game is this one, from the Historic Print & Map Co. Am I correct in assuming you removed the corner towers to make it appear closer to ACW forts of that period?

Anton Ryzbak16 Mar 2021 9:14 p.m. PST

Strumdivison, the one in the pictures is a model that I picked up at the Castillo gift shop about thirty years ago, I think I have a few more copies lying about somewhere. Email me at dasftrica89@yahoo.com. In recent years the much less precise Historic Print & Map Co is the only one I've been able to find. I should probably make a mold of the old one…..

Anton,

I tried sending an email to the address you listed but it was twice bounced back by Mailer-Daemon. Am I missing something? Let me know. Thanks!

Sturmdivision, No, I shouldn't type in a hurry and fail to proof-read.

daftrica89@yahoo.com is the correct address
