Can anyone point me at dimensioned diagrams of the 6pdr & 12pdr cannon and 7pdr howitzers?
I have copies of contemporary diagrams (for example those in Kevin Kiley's excellent volume) but I am struggling to reconcile the scales as drawn.
Many thanks in advance.

Did you check Dave Hollin's book at that?

No not yet. I wasn't sure if the Osprey format gave Dave enough space for that sort of detail. I might just take a chance and pick up a used copy. I could kick myself really – I was at the West Midland Military Show at Alumwell last Sunday and should have looked for a copy there.

Allan,

Send me an email and I'll send some material drawings I have on the Austrian fieldpieces. My email is Boulart198@yahoo.com

I recommend to buy Holin's book which in my opinion is far superior to Kiley's regarding the Austrian artillery, it might not answer all your questions though.

The only caveat is the colour of the Austrian artillery barrels which are not always that dark as the artist showed on the plates, but had the usual brass in bright or dark conditions due to aging.

@Brechtel198
Email sent – thank you.

@vW
That is an interesting point on the barrel colour – thank you.
