Nice review. Having partially unboxed my KS I can agree with the review. All the components are well made and impressive. Well worth it.

A bit more on the ships – they are softer than say the Warlord plastic ships. More like boardgame tokens, but I don't say that in a bad way. I have seen painted examples at shows and they look great. The masts are easily removable for storage or game play effect (unless you rig the ships ofc). I didn't order the larger Ships of the Line but I have Blackbeard's Quenn Ann's Revenge. Would have liked a touch more detail in the stern galleys but a minor quibble. The main point is that they look and feel sturdy unlike the Warlord ships which feel more delicate like a display model. Looking forward to breaking out some paints or heresy, setting up a game beforehand!!

If we all go into quarantine, it will at least give me time to paint my ships!

Thanks for the review. Mine is scheduled to arrive Wednesday. I got the deluxe game pieces, Blackbeard and Gentlemen of Fortune add-one! Can't wait!
